Bezirksliga Nord: Title Decision Made

FC Amberg is Champion: Late Nerves, Then the Title Party Begins

FC Amberg has secured the championship in the Bezirksliga Nord ahead of schedule. With the 2:1 away win at FC Furth im Wald, the league leaders mathematically secured first place and thus promotion. While things are clear at the top, the race for second place remains open: SV Hahnbach made a statement with a big win, while the competition dropped points elsewhere.

Amberg Takes Early Control – and Brings the Title Over the Line

In Furth im Wald, FC Amberg laid the foundation before halftime. Mario Schmien scored the opener in the 15th minute, Jannik Meier increased the lead to 2:0 in the 45th minute. The course of the game seemed clear – but right after the break, things got tight again: Mawab Galo reduced the deficit for FC Furth im Wald to 1:2 in the 47th minute.

It was exactly in this phase that Amberg showed why they were at the top of the table: After the quick goal against them, the team remained stable, did not get drawn into an open exchange of blows, and defended the narrow lead until the final whistle. With the win, the title is mathematically secured – and promotion can no longer be taken away.

Hahnbach Remains Main Challenger – Wernberg Loses Ground

In the fight for the playoff spot, SV Hahnbach impressively confirmed their ambitions. Against SV Inter Bergsteig Amberg, Hahnbach won 6:1 and was already leading 4:0 at halftime.

Tim Weisenberger scored once, Bastian Freisinger three times, and Kilian Heldmann twice. Daouda Barry scored the consolation goal for Inter Bergsteig.

FC Wernberg, on the other hand, dropped important points: At 1. FC Schlicht, they suffered a 1:3 defeat after a 0:0 at halftime. Daniel Lopez (51'), Eduard Baumbach (70'), and Konstantin Keilholz (90') scored for the hosts, Matthias Schreyer also scored in the 90th minute. Schlicht is now unbeaten in four matches – and Wernberg lost ground in the tight race for second place.

Weiden II Stays Close – Schirmitz Slips to a New Negative Mark

SpVgg SV Weiden II is also keeping up the pressure. The U23 won 4:1 (2:0) at SpVgg Schirmitz and remains in the race for second place.

Johannes Rodler, Benjamin Bock, Stefan Graf, and Paul Richthammer scored for Weiden II, Felix Eichinger scored for Schirmitz.

For the already heavily burdened Schirmitz defense, the defeat is also a statistical milestone: The number of goals conceded this season rose to 101 – surpassing the 100 mark.

Other Matches: Clear Wins, Late Goals, Narrow Decisions

SF Ursulapoppenricht handled their task against SG Chambtal convincingly and won 5:0 (1:0). Benedikt Herberich shaped the game with three goals (28'/59'/62'), and in the final phase Michael Rumpler (86') and Dominik Siebert (88') added to the score.

SpVgg Pfreimd won 2:1 (1:0) at DJK Arnschwang. Vinzenz Schlenk scored in the 30th minute, Dominik Fiedler made it 2:0 in the 90th minute. Lukas Miethaner's goal in stoppage time came too late. 150 spectators watched the match.

FC Weiden-Ost won 2:1 (0:0) at TSV Tännesberg. Noah Forster scored in the 51st and 87th minutes, before an own goal by Benedikt Sichert in stoppage time brought some late drama – but Tännesberg could not equalize.

There was a last-second decision in Vohenstrauß: FC Raindorf won there 1:0 (0:0) because Lukas Schleich scored the winning goal in the very last minute.

Assessment: Decided at the Top, Still a Multi-way Battle Behind

The matchday drew a clear line: FC Amberg is champion and promoted. Behind the new titleholder, however, the situation remains dynamic. Hahnbach consolidated second place with emphasis, Weiden II stays within striking distance, while Wernberg dropped points in Schlicht. The playoff spot thus remains the central point of tension in the final matchdays.
