Tourist Office Schwandorf | Opening Hours & Tours

The Tourist Office Schwandorf is the first, very practical entry point into the city for many visitors. Those who arrive and want to quickly orient themselves will find not only an information desk here but also a well-connected service point with clear tourist benefits. The official city website describes the office as a certified contact point in the historic Pfleghof building, where guests and residents can obtain information about cultural offerings, excursion possibilities in the region, and guided tours. This combination makes the location interesting: it is not only an office but also a starting point for discoveries in Schwandorf and the Upper Palatinate Lake District. At the same time, the Tourist Info is set up to support groups, families, and day visitors who arrive with little prior knowledge and still need quick, suitable tips for their stay. Notably, there is also barrier-free access, which is particularly important for a public service point. Those preparing for a visit or wishing to stop by spontaneously will find a place that combines practical orientation with local character and serves as a reliable base for city walks, tours, and regional excursions. Opening Hours of the Tourist Office Schwandorf

When searching for the keyword opening hours, most people have a simple question: When can I come by or call? The Tourist Office Schwandorf provides a clear answer to exactly that. According to official information, the Tourist Info is open from Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, on Saturday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, while Sundays and public holidays are closed. These times are particularly helpful for anyone planning their arrival spontaneously, spending a weekend in the city, or needing to quickly gather information before a tour. Telephone inquiries can also be best clarified during these hours, as the central contact number is 09431 45-550, supplemented by the general email address tourismus@schwandorf.de. The city website also lists several contact persons, indicating that the culture and tourism sector is well organized. For visitors, this means reliability: those with questions about events, brochures, souvenirs, or excursion programs can rely on a genuine service point and do not have to search the internet for scattered information. This is also ideal for the search intent surrounding Tourist Office Schwandorf opening hours, as the opening hours are not just numbers in the air but are placed in a real context: the city visit does not begin at the landmark but already at the information point. Tours, Tickets, and Souvenirs on Site

The Tourist Office Schwandorf is more than a classic counter for questions. According to the city and regional tourism websites, the team assists in finding accommodation, choosing a restaurant, and orienting visitors within the tourist offerings. Particularly interesting is that cycling and hiking maps, brochures about attractions and experiences, books, Schwandorf souvenirs, and event tickets are available here. For many users, this is the most important added value: you not only get an answer but also material that enhances and makes the stay practical. Additionally, the office informs about the city's tour offerings and organizes individual programs for club or company excursions. Among other things, tours in the rock cellars, visits to the Kreuzberg Church, and cozy hikes are mentioned. The city also refers to various documents and city tours in several languages, including German, English, French, Czech, and Easy Language. This is not only smart from a tourism perspective but also a sign that Schwandorf addresses its visitors very differently and does not reduce anyone to a one-size-fits-all solution. So, anyone looking for tickets, asking about suitable tours, or simply wanting a souvenir with local identity will find an unusually broad range of services at the Tourist Office. This is precisely why the search behavior around tickets, souvenirs, and tours is so fitting for this location: it is a starting point, information hub, and sales point all in one. Directions, Location, and Barrier-Free Access

The Tourist Office Schwandorf is located at Kirchengasse 1 in 92421 Schwandorf, making it well-situated for a first stop in the city center. The regional tourism website points out that arrival can be planned both by car and public transport; for drivers, the A 93 with the SAD-Nord exit is also mentioned. Those using the office as a starting point for a walk, a tour, or a day trip benefit from a location that is easy to place and not off the typical paths. However, the question of parking is even more important for many guests. The city describes on its official parking page that the first hour is free in the municipal parking garages Naab and Rathaus, that both garages are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and that the Naab parking garage offers 459 parking spaces while the Rathaus parking garage has 146 spaces. Additionally, an entrance height of 1.90 meters is mentioned. For tour buses, there is free parking space at the festival square in Krondorf. This is particularly relevant for group trips, family outings, and organized visits, as the arrival is not complicated. The accessibility is also clearly regulated: the Tourist Office is accessible at ground level, has public toilets, a barrier-free WC, and a changing table. This connects functional accessibility with pleasant usability for various visitor groups. So, anyone looking for directions, parking, or accessibility will find reliable and concrete information here that makes the visit significantly more relaxed in advance. Crime Scene Schwandorf and the Special Tour Offer

A central theme surrounding the Tourist Office Schwandorf is the thematic city tour Crime Scene Schwandorf – Executioner, Crook, Broomstick. The official city website describes this format as a collaboration between the Schwandorf theater stage and the city's tourist office, where Schwandorf's dark past is told in a lively and scenic way. This is exactly where it becomes clear why the keyword Crime Scene Schwandorf is so strongly associated with the location: the Tourist Info not only acts as a distribution point but also as a meeting point and organizational center for an experience that brings together city history, theater, and historical sites. According to the event offerings, the tour not only leads through the city center but also into the historic rock cellars, where a stop with beer reference is planned. For the representation of the city, this means a special mix of storytelling, atmosphere, and local identity. In the current event calendar, the tour is scheduled for September 26, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Tourist Office in Kirchengasse 1; the price is 22.00 euros, the duration of the tour is about 2.5 hours, and binding registration is possible two days before the date. A separate price is also mentioned for groups, and vouchers are available at the Tourist Office. Older program notes from the city calendar also show that October 3rd is regularly used as a date for this tour. This is relevant for seekers because it makes clear: the Tourist Office Schwandorf is not only an information point but also a starting point for one of the most distinctive city tours in the region. Photos, Pfleghof, and First Impressions on Site

Those looking for photos of the Tourist Office Schwandorf will find several visual cues on the official city website and in the regional environment that clearly convey the character of the place. The city of Schwandorf uses image material and photo credits on its tourism page, including from Lisa Marie Photography as well as other city shots, and also refers to an image film. This is interesting for visitors because the first impression is not only created through address data but also through the visual perception of the historic Pfleghof and its surroundings. Especially for a tourist information office, this is relevant: the office should not appear anonymous but should convey openness, orientation, and local reference. The visual language supports exactly that by showing the location as part of the city's staging. At the same time, it becomes clear that the Tourist Office is located in the historic Pfleghof building and is thus directly connected to a place that is perceived as historically and urbanly anchored in Schwandorf. For the keyword combination Tourist Office Schwandorf Photos, this perspective is valuable because it does not reduce to a single image but considers the entire appearance of the city. The visitor thus sees not only a facade but also gets a sense of how the Tourist Info is embedded: as a well-kept, accessible, and clearly described service point with cultural reference. That various employees and the tourism manager are named on the site further enhances the impression of a personal, non-exchangeable contact point. Photos are therefore not just decoration but a part of the information architecture that builds trust and makes the visit planable. ([schwandorf.de](https://www.schwandorf.de/Kultur-Tourismus/Tourismus/Tourismusb%C3%BCro/))

Schwandorf as a Starting Point for City and Region

The Tourist Office Schwandorf is also exciting because it is not limited to the mere interior view of the city. The regional tourism website specifically mentions excursion destinations around the location such as the rock cellar labyrinth, the city museum, routes for cycling along the Naab, the Naabblick, and a boat rental on the Naab. This creates a clear advantage for visitors: the Tourist Info is not isolated but is the logical starting point for a whole chain of experiences that range from culture to nature to family activities. This also fits with the services that the office itself offers, as not only maps and brochures are distributed but also programs for club and company excursions are compiled. So, those arriving with a group can not only inquire about a single attraction but also about an entire day's itinerary. The Upper Palatinate Lake District and the Upper Palatinate Forest are presented by the regional pages as suitable areas for further explorations. Additionally, the Tourist Office not only informs about attractions but also about gastronomy, accommodations, and event tickets. This makes the place a kind of control center for the stay: a few minutes of consultation can structure the rest of the day. For SEO and for real visitors, this combination is very strong because it brings together the most important search intents: opening hours, directions, tours, photos, parking, accessibility, and special experiences like Crime Scene Schwandorf. So, those arriving in Schwandorf will find not just an address but a very concrete opportunity to discover the city and its surroundings efficiently and pleasantly. Meeting point Saturday, 25.5.2024 at 5 PM for the crime scene city tour. Group of 13 people, quite small, but great people and amazing atmosphere. Thomas, our city guide, was a bit shy at first, but that soon changed 😉. The actors were fantastic, and even the two guys who were there for the first time did a great job. In the rock cellar, there was no holding back, and the atmosphere was lively and cheerful 😄. This city tour is definitely recommendable!!!!!! Thanks again to everyone who made our evening so enjoyable, and we will definitely come to Schloss Fronberg for the theater performance 👍. Keep it up.

We booked our company outing to the rock cellars through the Schwandorf tourism office. Both the organization beforehand and the flow on the day were absolutely great! Top communication, the tours (2 groups) were engaging and informative, and the price was also totally fine! Definitely recommendable, even with larger groups. Thank you very much!
