Hotel in Amberg | Prices & Phone Number

Those looking for a central, practical, and fairly priced accommodation in Amberg will find the Hotel in Amberg to be an uncomplicated starting point for business trips and city breaks in the Upper Palatinate. The hotel is located at Regensburger Straße 14 and combines the advantages of an aparthotel with classic hotel comfort: spaciously designed rooms that provide everything necessary for both short and longer stays, and a service focused on the essentials. Particularly attractive is the combination of 24-hour check-in, free parking directly at the hotel, and rooms with their own kitchen. This allows for flexible planning of meetings, construction site appointments, or excursions, while the historic old town, the Amberger Congress Centrum, and the Kurfürstenbad are within short distance. Those wishing to explore Amberg benefit from short distances, good transport connections, and numerous restaurants and shopping opportunities nearby. The official website and booking portals provide current impressions and photos, while a clear price list offers transparency in planning.

Location in the Center of Amberg: Arrival and Orientation

The Hotel in Amberg is centrally located on Regensburger Straße, a practical address for exploring the city on foot, by car, or by train. From here, important points such as the Amberger Congress Centrum and the Kurfürstenbad are within short distance, making the location particularly attractive for conferences, cultural, and sports visits. The official hotel website also highlights the central position and recommends the old town as a worthwhile destination during the stay. The historic backdrop of narrow streets, squares with fountains, and remnants of the city fortifications gives Amberg its charm. Those arriving by car have the advantage of free parking available at the hotel; this eases the budget and saves time searching for a parking spot. Should it become crowded, the city offers a well-developed parking infrastructure with several garages near the old town. Particularly practical are the parking garage at Ziegeltor and the parking garage at Kurfürstenbad, both of which are open 24 hours and operate with clear rates. These garages are intended for visitors who are in the city center or looking for a reliable alternative when hotel parking spaces are occupied. Guests arriving by train benefit from the fact that the train station is within walking distance. For many travelers, the mix of urban proximity and quiet accommodation is essential. This balance is exactly what the hotel's location offers: those wanting to go out for dinner or take a walk through the old town in the evening will find short distances. Those needing to get to an appointment quickly in the morning can reach the regional roads swiftly. The position between urban highlights and important traffic routes makes the hotel a pragmatic base for professionals, technicians, and city tourists.

Rooms with Kitchen: Photos, Amenities, and Comfort

A central argument for the Hotel in Amberg is the rooms with their own kitchen. This advantage makes the stay significantly more flexible, especially for multiple nights, special dietary wishes, or when one wants to prepare a quick meal between appointments. The hotel price page explicitly lists the kitchen amenities as included services, complemented by free Wi-Fi as well as TV and telephone in the rooms. This makes the hotel suitable for guests who need to work in the evening, as well as for travelers who want to remain independent and self-sufficient. For business travelers, the combination of desk space, stable internet connection, and kitchenette is particularly practical. Those traveling with lighter luggage appreciate being able to make tea, coffee, or a small snack without having to go to a restaurant. Expectations for an aparthotel include that the rooms offer enough space, for example, for a workspace and a seating area. Photos help to get an impression in advance. In addition to the hotel website, booking portals like HRS show a selection of images that convey an impression of room size and furnishings. Although the layout and furnishings differ depending on the room category and location in the hotel, the promise of service remains constant: functional, spacious rooms for an uncomplicated stay. Those who place particular value on peace or have specific wishes regarding location and layout should indicate this when making a reservation. This way, the team can suggest a suitable room, as far as available. For families or longer stays, kitchens are particularly helpful because they reduce costs for restaurant visits and facilitate everyday routines. Travelers with special diets or athletes also benefit. Overall, the hotel positions itself not as a luxury domicile, but as a reliable, down-to-earth accommodation with a feature that is not common in this price range: the integrated kitchen in every room.

Prices and Booking: Current Offers and Phone Number

Transparent prices make planning easier. According to the official price list of the hotel, the overnight price for a single room is 69 euros per night, and a double room costs 99 euros per night for two people. An optional extra is breakfast in the room for 9 euros. This is particularly practical for early departures or flexible daily schedules, as one can start the day without an additional trip. Reservations can be made by phone at +49 9621 475717, alternatively through a contact form on the website. Frequent travelers appreciate a direct telephone confirmation, especially when arrival times change at short notice. The hotel also communicates a 24-hour check-in, which simplifies spontaneous arrivals late in the evening or at night. When booking, it is advisable to inquire about any special conditions, for example, for longer stays, recurring business trips, or during quieter travel times. For planning security, it is advisable to check prices and availability before arrival, as conditions may change seasonally. The listed rates provide clear guidance for the budget and are particularly solid compared to hotels without kitchenettes. Those who value independence and at the same time seek a central accommodation will find a good price-performance ratio here. Tip for teams or technicians: For multiple rooms and longer projects, a direct inquiry is worthwhile, as some hotels in the Upper Palatinate offer discounts for longer stays. While booking through a portal can be convenient, reserving directly with the hotel often has the advantage that individual wishes can be better accommodated.

Parking and 24-Hour Check-In: Arrive Stress-Free

The topic of arrival often determines how relaxed the stay begins. The Hotel in Amberg takes some of this burden off guests: free parking spaces are available at the hotel, which is particularly uncommon in central locations. Those arriving late benefit from the 24-hour check-in. This minimizes waiting times and is ideal for business trips with a tight schedule. Should it become tight on heavily demanded days, the city's infrastructure is a reliable fallback. The parking garage at Ziegeltor in the old town area offers 257 parking spaces, is open daily around the clock, and operates with clear rates, including moderate night prices and a manageable daily maximum. The parking garage at Kurfürstenbad, which has 242 parking spaces, is also open 24 hours. Both garages are located in the city center and are easily accessible. Thus, guests have the choice between the free parking space at the hotel and urban alternatives when planning central errands in the old town or needing to accommodate a second vehicle. Those traveling without a car will find public transport stops within walking distance. For excursions to the surrounding area, such as to Nuremberg, Weiden, or Regensburg, the train connection from Amberg is helpful. The combination of a centrally located position, its own parking offer, and continuous check-in directly contributes to travel comfort. This is especially true for craft and service teams with materials and tools, who benefit from uncomplicated loading and unloading. Business people who come in late from client appointments do not have to worry about rigid reception hours. And city travelers appreciate that they can leave the car after arrival and explore the old town on foot. In summary, this results in a comprehensive mobility package that reduces the often underestimated friction losses of a trip.

Experiences and Reviews: What Guests Pay Attention To

When choosing accommodation, impressions from other travelers help alongside hard facts such as price, location, and amenities. In online reviews, the Hotel in Amberg is often highlighted for its central location, spacious rooms, and practical kitchens. Many guests positively note the uncomplicated 24-hour check-in, which also allows for late arrivals. Images on the hotel website and booking portals give an impression of the style and size of the rooms. Those who value maximum planning can clarify details in advance by phone, such as the location of a room in the hotel, early departure times, or individual wishes. For longer stays, the kitchenette plays an important role, as it helps control costs and maintain eating habits. For teams working in Amberg, this proves practical in everyday life. City travelers, on the other hand, benefit from the central location with short distances to the old town. With every hotel choice, it is worth taking a look at one's own needs: If it should be particularly quiet, the room location is relevant; those who value proximity to a specific destination pay attention to the distance to that point. The Hotel in Amberg sees itself as a down-to-earth, practical accommodation. It is neither a boutique hotel nor a large hotel with a wellness area. Its profile lies instead in the useful amenities, independence through the kitchenette, free parking, and the service that allows for arrivals around the clock. Those who set these priorities receive an offer with a coherent ratio of price and performance. However, those seeking an extensive hotel experience with a restaurant, bar, and extensive lobby infrastructure will find suitable alternatives in Amberg, which are briefly outlined in the next section.

Popular Alternatives in Amberg: Bootshaus, Vienna House, Brunner, Fronfeste, and Ehhaeusl

Amberg offers an astonishingly versatile hotel landscape for a city of this size. Those wishing for design, gastronomy, and old town flair should consider the Bootshaus Amberg. The hotel is located directly on the Vils in the historic center, combines restaurant and hotel, and offers 19 individually designed rooms and suites. For travelers who want to combine work and enjoyment or appreciate a special atmosphere, this is an exciting option. Those looking for large capacities, short distances to the Amberger Congress Centrum, and many parking spaces will find this combination at the Vienna House Easy Amberg at the Congress Centrum. The hotel is situated between the Landesgartenschaugelände, Congress Centrum, and Kurfürstenbad; particularly practical are the numerous parking options around the hotel, including a parking garage with daily-based rates. For train travelers who value immediate proximity to the train station, the Hotel Brunner is a nearby choice: it is only a few steps to the reception, which is pleasant for late arrivals or early departures. Those wanting to experience a piece of city history will find it at the Hotel Fronfeste. The hotel is part of the historic city fortifications, located in the old town, and showcases its charm in the original walls. Additionally, Amberg has a true rarity that has gained regional attention: the Ehhaeusl in the old town is considered the smallest hotel in the world. It is an architectural oddity and is particularly interesting for special occasions seeking an extraordinary ambiance. This variety shows that Amberg offers both pragmatic and experience-oriented accommodations. The Hotel in Amberg positions itself as a reliable, budget-friendly address with kitchens in all rooms and clear conditions. Those with options can decide based on their travel purpose: self-sufficient and central in the aparthotel, design-oriented by the river, congress-close with ample parking, or historic in the old town. Thus, everyone finds the suitable environment for appointments, culture, or a little break in the Upper Palatinate.

The room itself was nice but had a big drawback: it smelled like urine when you walked in. The lady at the reception was very nice and the old town is easily reachable on foot. I would have liked to address the smell issue (I left very early in the morning) but no one answers the phone. Also, a lot of things at the reception are still done by hand, which is a bit annoying.

I travel to Amberg for business from time to time and I like to cook for myself. The spacious rooms allow me to work at the desk and enjoy a home-cooked meal. Combined with the central location (city center, supermarket, and train station within 300m), the consistently clean and tidy rooms are perfect for me. I also appreciate the friendly reception that is open 24 hours for flexible arrivals. And if I come by car, there’s a free parking space in the courtyard despite the central location. Since the year of construction of the building doesn’t matter to me and I don’t miss an elevator for the third floor, I give it 5 stars!

Booked through Booking for 69 euros for 1 night, the room and hotel are very outdated, the only good thing was the bed, which was new... nice reception from the lady... hotel invoices are still handwritten in this digital age... parking is included, and it’s only a few minutes to the old town... as for the room, there are endless issues that really need to be addressed; otherwise, the 69 euros are not justified... overall, if you don’t expect much, it’s okay... the room is more suitable for workers.

The rooms are more like worker accommodations, with a small kitchen that has a ceramic cooktop. Otherwise, there’s a slot machine casino on the ground floor, and the reception is not staffed in the morning. In today’s technological age, there are handwritten invoices for the stay. Fire extinguishers were renewed in 2022, and there has been no maintenance since.

I was received very warmly and the room/bathroom was clean and well-equipped 💪 It’s just a few minutes' walk to the city 😀
