Gasthaus Kreiner | Opening Hours & Menu
Gasthaus Kreiner in Siebeneichen near Sulzbach-Rosenberg is a classic Upper Palatinate inn that caters to guests looking for regional cuisine, excursions, and celebrations alike. The tourist brochure describes a tradition dating back to the 18th century, a kitchen in its fourth generation, hearty dishes, seasonal carp dishes from September to April, as well as pastries, cakes, and snacks made in-house. Additionally, there is a shady beer garden, directly adjacent cycling and hiking trails, and rooms for various occasions. Therefore, those searching online for photos, reviews, or opening hours do not end up at a generic tavern, but at a place with a strong local connection and clear identity. The location on the outskirts of Siebeneichen makes the inn a destination for people who want to combine food, nature, and village history in one visit. ([suro.city](https://www.suro.city/wp-content/uploads/bergbaupfad_2017.pdf))
Opening Hours, Menu, and Photos Before Visiting
The search terms related to Gasthaus Kreiner show one thing above all: Many people want to know not only the name before their first visit but also quickly check if the house is open on their day, how it looks inside and out, and if there is a recognizable menu. For this reason, photos, reviews, and opening hours are particularly important. In the found online entries, the house is listed at the address Siebeneichen 1 in Sulzbach-Rosenberg. At the same time, the information regarding opening hours is not entirely uniform. The tourist brochure states Wednesday to Sunday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM with hot meals starting at 6:00 PM, Sundays and holidays from 11:00 AM, and Monday and Tuesday as rest days. A business directory, on the other hand, lists daily hours from 10:00 AM to 11:30 PM. For seekers, this discrepancy is not a weakness but an indication that a quick phone call before the visit remains the safest solution. ([suro.city](https://www.suro.city/wp-content/uploads/bergbaupfad_2017.pdf))
Also, regarding the menu, it is worth looking at real sources rather than vague expectations. A current online entry explicitly states that no digital menu is available yet. This does not mean there is nothing to discover, but rather that the operation functions in a classic and personal manner. The brochure itself already mentions several concrete culinary components: hearty cuisine, well-known carp dishes, seasonal dishes, hearty snacks, as well as pastries and cakes made in-house. Therefore, those searching for a menu should not only think of PDF menus or modern online tools but of an inn where the offerings are likely more influenced by daily form, season, and personal coordination. This is precisely what attracts many guests. The combination of a traditional house, honest cuisine, and direct contact opportunities fits excellently with search queries for photos, reviews, and opening hours because it provides orientation before the visit while still allowing for genuine tavern atmosphere. Tradition Since the 18th Century and Kitchen in the Fourth Generation
The strongest story behind Gasthaus Kreiner is not a spectacular staging but continuity. The tourist brochure explicitly emphasizes that the tradition dates back to the 18th century and that cooking has been done in the house for four generations. This is equally important for SEO and for real guests because it gives a name a heritage. An inn that has been around for such a long time does not only thrive on good recipes but on trust, recognition, and a clear understanding of its role as a village inn. This line is reflected in the kitchen's offerings: it is about hearty dishes, carp dishes in the season from September to April, pastries and cakes made in-house, and snacks that can also be enjoyed in the beer garden during the summer months. Therefore, those looking for authentic Upper Palatinate hospitality will find here not just a modern gastro concept but a house with a noticeable long-term connection to the place. ([suro.city](https://www.suro.city/wp-content/uploads/bergbaupfad_2017.pdf))
The culinary identity of the inn is closely linked to the regional environment. The house works with the image of classic inn culture: down-to-earth, seasonal, personal, and focused on guests who are not looking for a constantly changing world map of cuisine but for reliability and regional character. Especially the carp dishes are an important indication of the local food culture. The season from September to April marks not only a dish but a tradition that is firmly anchored in many Franconian-Upper Palatinate houses. Additionally, the homemade cakes and pastries are far more than just dessert in such an inn: they are part of everyday life, Sunday outings, and breaks after a hike. The connection to the broader local history is also noteworthy, as the tourist information describes an intricately intertwined inn and brewing culture in Siebeneichen and Rosenberg that has grown over generations. For visitors, this means: Gasthaus Kreiner is less a short-term trend than a reliable part of local dining and social culture. ([suro.city](https://www.suro.city/wp-content/uploads/bergbaupfad_2017.pdf))
Beer Garden, Hall, and Rooms for Celebrations in Siebeneichen
A central search impulse around Gasthaus Kreiner is not only the food but also the question of whether the house is suitable for parties, family celebrations, or club evenings. Here, the brochure provides very clear facts. There is a hall with 180 seats, a side room with 60 seats, and a guest room with 40 seats. This results in approximately 280 seats. This size shows that the inn is not just a small taproom but a versatile event venue with noticeable space reserves. This is important for celebrations of all kinds because different occasions require different room sizes: smaller birthdays in the side room, larger parties in the hall, cozy family gatherings in the guest room. Mentioning the rooms is therefore a genuine quality feature for inquiries about capacity, celebrations, and room offerings. ([suro.city](https://www.suro.city/wp-content/uploads/bergbaupfad_2017.pdf))
In addition, the beer garden is a significant attraction during the summer months. The brochure speaks of a shady beer garden where snacks and well-kept beer can be enjoyed. For guests, this means not only outdoor seating but also a typical inn atmosphere that connects with the surroundings. Particularly interesting is the connection between hospitality and everyday use: according to the brochure, the house also delivers, making it attractive for people who do not always eat on-site but still want to utilize the kitchen. At the same time, the rooms are suitable for hosting birthdays, club evenings, or smaller corporate events. This makes the inn not feel like an isolated tavern but rather a social meeting point in the village. This versatility makes it so valuable for SEO search queries regarding celebrations, beer gardens, and capacity because multiple uses credibly come together here: dining, festivities, delivery, and summer breaks outdoors. ([suro.city](https://www.suro.city/wp-content/uploads/bergbaupfad_2017.pdf))
Directions, Bus Line 426, and the Siebeneichen Circular Hiking Trail
The location of the inn is another key to the search intent behind the keywords. Gasthaus Kreiner is located at Siebeneichen 1, in a district of Sulzbach-Rosenberg that is strongly connected to nature, local recreation, and identity. For directions and visits, not only the postal address is important but also the connection to public transport. The city of Sulzbach-Rosenberg mentions bus line 426 with the route Prohof – Siebeneichen – Loderhof – Bahnhof – Luitpoldplatz. This shows that Siebeneichen is not off the beaten path but is connected to a comprehensible line within the city and regional transport. For guests without a car, this is a real plus, and for drivers, it is helpful for planning the overall route. Thus, the search query for directions receives a concrete answer: the house is both embedded in the village and fundamentally accessible via local bus transport. ([suro.city](https://www.suro.city/oeffentlicher-nahverkehr/))
Particularly strong is the connection to the hiking loop around Siebeneichen. The tourist information describes the Siebeneichen circular hiking trail as a route of about ten kilometers that surrounds the slag hill with a western and eastern loop and can easily be divided into two parts, each taking about an hour to walk. Both parts begin at the historic 7 oaks behind the beer garden of Gasthaus Kreiner. The eastern loop goes over Eichelberg to the hamlet of Neuhof, along the eastern edge of the village to the Herzweihern and back again. The western loop leads past Kropfersricht and the Riegelesbrunnen to the Seven Springs, which are described as one of the most beautiful local recreation areas in the city. Thus, the inn is not only a destination but also a starting point for movement, nature, and excursion culture. Those who stop here can easily combine their visit with a circular route, creating a rounded experience from food, walking, and landscape. ([tourismus.suro.city](https://tourismus.suro.city/siebeneichener-rundwanderweg/))
Flea Markets, Regional Meeting Points, and Events at the Inn
Gasthaus Kreiner is not only an address for food and dining but also a place where village and club life is showcased. The courtyard of the inn is used for the slag flea market in Siebeneichen, which, according to the current event entry, takes place on July 18, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. There, direct marketers in small numbers, private vendors, and bargain hunters come together. The entry mentions free admission, an outdoor area, a barrier-free space, and free parking at the event location. Such details are extremely valuable for search queries regarding events, parking, and visitor experience because they directly show that the inn is not just a backdrop but is actively used as an event venue. The market thus becomes a social event that combines trade, encounters, and gastronomy. ([amberg-news.de](https://www.amberg-news.de/veranstaltungen/markets/26030102051686))
Further indications confirm that this usage does not only occur sporadically. Local contributions describe monthly flea markets on the premises of Gasthaus Kreiner and mention 20 to 30 sales stands that have established themselves in Siebeneichen. Additionally, there is a Weißwurst breakfast available by reservation, which combines the market character with classic inn culture. This is precisely where the special strength of the location lies: The inn is not just a place to eat but a meeting point where regional supply, reuse, community, and hospitality intertwine. For SEO, this means a broad thematic basis from events to directions to regional culinary offerings. For real visitors, it primarily means a practical perspective: Those coming for the flea market can dine; those coming for food may experience the atmosphere of a lively local event; and those planning an excursion will find a combination of market, cuisine, and encounters here. This is how Gasthaus Kreiner becomes a location with added value beyond just a restaurant visit. ([hey.bayern](https://hey.bayern/events/339081?utm_source=openai))

This is how Gasthaus Kreiner becomes a location with added value beyond just a restaurant visit. ([hey.bayern](https://hey.bayern/events/339081?utm_source=openai))

Freshly caught carp from our own waters at the Gasthaus Kreiner. Only available by pre-order, baked carp and baked carp fillet; if you don't like fish 🐟, they also have delicious warm dishes. The service is absolutely friendly 👍👍👍👍👍👍 Prices 👍👍👍👍👍

Extremely delicious, we ordered 2x Schäufele along with a dark Radler and a dark beer. The portion was nicely sized 😎. Highly recommend. We'll be back when the carp season starts.

Traditional cuisine (carp specialist from September to April), friendly service, generous portions, and sometimes homemade cakes that deserve the title "five stars plus".

A visit to this inn was a complete delight! The dishes were very tasty, and everyone was completely satisfied with their choice. Particularly impressive was the excellent value for money – the dishes were not only relatively inexpensive but also served in large portions, so no one left hungry. A special highlight were the asparagus dishes, which we can highly recommend. Here, the season is celebrated with love – as a wonderful gesture, there’s even a delicious asparagus soup as a starter. A culinary experience that is definitely worth it – we will gladly return! 🍽️😋
