Services at the Redeemer Church Amberg
For many people, the Redeemer Church Amberg is primarily a place for Sunday services, and community life is visibly oriented towards this. According to the official service page, regular services are once again held weekly; the community states the usual time as 9:30 AM and also points out that situations and dates may change, and therefore the homepage or the notices at the church are the most reliable sources of information. This is practical for visitors, as both the stable weekly rhythm and possible special forms can be quickly understood. Additionally, the community's event profile shows that services are not intended as isolated Sunday routines but as part of a larger church offering with themed evenings, family formats, and liturgical highlights throughout the year. Those looking for a place where clear structure and lively community practice come together will find exactly this connection at the Redeemer Church. ([erloeserkirche-amberg.de](https://www.erloeserkirche-amberg.de/gottesdienste-und-veranstaltungen/gottesdienste))
It is particularly beautiful that the Redeemer Church not only recognizes the classic Sunday service but also consciously accompanies the transitions of life. The website describes baptism, marriage, and confirmation as important milestones of faith and life. In baptism, the Redeemer Church explicitly uses the rainbow as a symbol of God's promise; this makes the place immediately recognizable for families and anchors it in a strong imagery. The website for marriage and confirmation also shows that the community addresses and accompanies people in very different life phases. This creates an understanding of service that is traditionally rooted but remains open to personal paths. This is important for seekers because terms like service, baptism, marriage, or confirmation do not only refer to individual dates but encompass a broad spiritual and communal offering. It is precisely in this mixture that a significant part of the identity of the Redeemer Church Amberg lies. Parish Office, Contact, and Lived Community
The parish office of the Redeemer Church Amberg is clearly identifiable and consciously designed as a point of contact for the community and the public. It is located at Dr.-Martin-Luther-Str. 2, 92224 Amberg, with office hours on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 AM to 12 PM, and the community names Pastor David Scherf and parish secretary Severine Martin as contacts. This makes not only the address and accessibility transparent but also the central contact paths for inquiries about services, baptisms, weddings, confirmations, pastoral care, or organizational issues. The official contact page adds the phone number 09621 82173 as well as the email address of the parish office. For people searching for the term parish office Redeemer Church Amberg, this combination of personal contact, clear times, and official responsibility is particularly relevant. It shows: The community does not work anonymously but with concrete people and a firmly established administrative structure. ([erloeserkirche-amberg.de](https://www.erloeserkirche-amberg.de/kontakt))
The community also has a noticeably modern communication culture today. On the homepage, the Redeemer Church refers to an app that consolidates contact information, events, chat functions, and community groups; it also emphasizes that the solution is data protection compliant. Also visible on the homepage is the community's commitment to actively oppose abuse and create safe spaces for people of all ages and genders. Additionally, the community refers to the Green Rooster and emphasizes that it has been certified since 2011 and holds a pioneering role in the Upper Palatinate. For SEO and real visitors, this is more than a detail: it shows a community that thinks about pastoral care, organization, responsibility, and environmental awareness together. So, for those searching for contact, pastor, parish office, or community profile, they receive a picture of a lively, increasingly transparent church community with clear structures and a modern understanding of responsibility. ([erloeserkirche-amberg.de](https://www.erloeserkirche-amberg.de/))
Daycare, Children, and Families at the Redeemer Church
A crucial component of the Redeemer Church Amberg is its own daycare center. The community describes the daycare as an important part of its life and mentions around 85 children cared for in one nursery group and three kindergarten groups. The facility page provides more details about the groups: three kindergarten groups with about 25 children each and one nursery group with around 12 children. The age structure is also clearly defined, as the nursery is intended for children aged 1 to 3 years, and kindergarten from 3 years onwards. The opening hours are Monday to Thursday from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM and on Friday from 7:00 AM to 2:30 PM; the educational core time is mentioned from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Registration is done exclusively online through the citizen service portal of the city of Amberg. For parents searching for Redeemer Church Amberg kindergarten, this is exactly the information they need: reliable numbers, opening hours, admission age, and a clear digital registration process. ([erloeserkirche-amberg.de](https://www.erloeserkirche-amberg.de/kita))
However, family work goes far beyond the daycare. On the page for children and families, the community describes a weekly play and crawling group for children aged 0 to 3 years with parents or grandparents, which takes place on Mondays at 9:30 AM in the community hall. Additionally, there are family services that are explicitly open, loud, lively, and participatory. Children should discover the church for themselves, laugh, sing, and play together. Supplementing this, there is a Children's Church Cinema for children aged 3 and older, thus church as an experiential space with popcorn and a child-friendly atmosphere, as well as adventure days for children aged 6 to 10 years. This variety explains why terms like children and families, kindergarten, crawling group, or family service are so closely related at the Redeemer Church. The community uses its spaces not only for classic liturgy but also as learning, play, and meeting spaces for young families. ([erloeserkirche-amberg.de](https://www.erloeserkirche-amberg.de/gemeindeleben/kinder-und-familien?utm_source=openai))
Concerts, Events, and Special Evenings
Those who only think of services at the Redeemer Church underestimate the cultural side of the house. On the homepage, the community explicitly presents concerts and cabaret, such as a church cabaret event with ticket sales at the parish office, via OKTicket, and at the box office. A concert with The Chambers, a classical formation that uses the Redeemer Church as a venue for sophisticated music, is also announced. This is important from an SEO perspective because the search term Redeemer Church Amberg concert is not just a marginal topic but describes a real part of the profile. The church is thus not only a sacred space but also a cultural venue where sound, language, and atmosphere come together. For visitors, this means: Those searching for musical or artistic events will find a program that consciously mediates between church, concert, and conversation. ([erloeserkirche-amberg.de](https://www.erloeserkirche-amberg.de/))
The ongoing dates also show that the Redeemer Church addresses various target groups. The event page features the play and crawling group, a senior meeting like Treff 66+, and other recurring offerings. In special programs, such as during the Night of Open Churches, the community connects spiritual formats with open tours, music, shared meals, and low-threshold access for children, young people, parents, and grandparents. It is precisely this mixture of seriousness, openness, and cultural breadth that makes the Redeemer Church in Amberg interesting. It is not merely a venue in the secular sense, but it consciously uses event formats to address people in various ways. Those searching for events, programs, or special evenings will find a place that connects church practice with a genuine sense of atmosphere. Directions and Parking at the Redeemer Church Amberg
The address of the Redeemer Church Amberg is easy to remember and practically usable: Dr.-Martin-Luther-Str. 2, 92224 Amberg. Since the church is located in an urban environment, the question of parking is crucial for many visitors. The city of Amberg provides a comprehensive parking system that is particularly suitable for the old town and nearby routes. The official parking page lists, among others, the parking garage at Ziegeltor, the parking garage at Kurfürstenbad, the old town garage, the theater garage, the parking garage Marienstraße, the parking deck Kräuterwiese, as well as parking spaces in the old town. Additionally, cashless mobile parking via app or SMS is available in the old town area and other parking zones. For visitors to the Redeemer Church, this is good news because the drive by car remains manageable and suitable options can be found depending on the length of stay. ([erloeserkirche-amberg.de](https://www.erloeserkirche-amberg.de/kontakt))
It is particularly practical that the city of Amberg names several parking garages and parking spaces near the old town with clear opening hours and rates. Those coming for a short visit to a service, meeting, or event can choose the old town parking spaces or a garage with a short distance; those staying longer will also find suitable rates and long-term parking options. For most guests, the most important note is: The community itself refers to its parish office and its central address, while the city's parking overview remains the most reliable source for vehicle traffic. This is also editorially sensible, as it avoids false assumptions about private parking and directs orientation to real, publicly available infrastructure. So, those searching for directions to Redeemer Church Amberg or parking at Redeemer Church Amberg should see the city parking page as the first practical point of contact and choose the best route to the church from there. ([amberg.de](https://amberg.de/parken))
History, Renovation, and Special Features
The Redeemer Church Amberg has already established a clear profile despite its comparatively young history. In an official community publication, the church, consecrated in 1967, is described as a location church for the Bundeswehr in and around Amberg. The community also recalled anniversaries after 40 and 50 years, showing that the church has firmly anchored itself in the life of the city since its inception. Interestingly, not only the year of construction matters but also the perception of the building itself: The then pastor describes the inner and outer radiance of the church and emphasizes that the foyer should remain a special charm place. These hints make it understandable why the Redeemer Church is perceived by many not only as a place of worship but as a place that shapes identity. In a city like Amberg, which is shaped by many different churches and traditions, this brings its own recognition value. ([erloeserkirche-amberg.de](https://www.erloeserkirche-amberg.de/system/files/dateien/gb_2018-1.pdf))
Among the special features is also the long tradition of church environmental management: Since 2011, the Redeemer Church has been certified with the Green Rooster and was, according to its own representation, the first parish in the Upper Palatinate to receive this seal. In parallel, the community is planning further renovation and remodeling of the church; a community newsletter describes that design plans have been presented and that, in the best case, construction work can begin in summer 2026. Such information shows a church that actively shapes its future rather than just relying on preservation. Playful details are also part of the identity: The website even mentions a special 0-euro note of the Redeemer Church that is intended to support the renovation and places the church among a series of well-known landmarks. Here, history, present, and future come together in close proximity. This is precisely why the Redeemer Church Amberg is equally interesting for inquiries about history, special features, photos, community, and renovation. ([erloeserkirche-amberg.de](https://www.erloeserkirche-amberg.de/gruener-gockel?utm_source=openai))
Ultimately, the Redeemer Church Amberg connects several levels that are relevant for visitors, families, seekers, and community members alike: regular services, pastoral care, a strong daycare, open family offerings, concert and cultural formats, and a clear contact structure. This mixture explains why search queries like service Redeemer Church Amberg, parish office Redeemer Church Amberg, Redeemer Church Amberg kindergarten, or Redeemer Church Amberg concert all converge on the same place but describe a different access to the community. Those visiting the church experience not only a religious space but also a place of encounter, learning, and cultural attention. And those who inform themselves in advance find precise information about contact, dates, and offerings through the official pages without having to rely on assumptions. This makes the Redeemer Church Amberg one of the most exciting evangelical addresses in the city. ([erloeserkirche-amberg.de](https://www.erloeserkirche-amberg.de/))

The best pastor's family you could imagine. Highly dedicated, full of ideas, wonderful services. What more could you want? I know the answer: More young families and couples should join this amazing pastor's family and help shape church life together. Give it a try! It's fun to be here together. We love being here.

A young, competent, committed, and successful pastor and a particularly enthusiastic, creative, artistic church musician conjure up uplifting, devotional services, programs, and projects time and again, even in difficult times! Musicians, listeners, believers, and doubters come from near and far to be convinced and inspired. And even good old Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750) feels at home at the small but fine organ in the transparent, yet not dry, acoustics... even though the church was built much later, in the 20th century, which doesn't matter at all when it's filled with lively liturgy, powerful music, and dignified words!! Keep it up 👏!!!

A huge thank you for the truly special AGAPE meal on Good Friday. It's a shame that so few people were able to experience it. But that gives us hope for next Easter. Thank you so much.

We were there for a "Very Special Christmas" concert. Beautiful, simple church; I especially liked the roof truss.

A simple church with a beautiful stained-glass window in the chancel. Occasionally, interesting lectures and worthwhile concerts are held here.
