The Marktplatz in Amberg is absolutely beautiful and full of charm. It’s the heart of the city and always has a warm, welcoming feel. The historic buildings around the square are stunning, especially when lit up in the evening. We visited this place in early December purely to go and see the Krampus Parade. The Christmas market was in full flow. The parade was excellent. Limited parking nearby, but lots if you are prepared to walk for 10 minutes. Lots of things to see and plenty of restaurants etc.

Charming town. Interesting bridge. It's worth stopping and taking a walk. In the center of stellplatz, unfortunately small. There are alternative parking lots outside the center.
