Christmas Magic with Pettersson and Findus in Sulzbach-Rosenberg
When winter takes hold outside, a heartwarming puppet theater adventure for the whole family begins at the Capitol – Image & Stage. The Theater vom Rabenberg brings Sven Nordqvist's beloved characters to the stage on November 4, 2026 with Pettersson and Findus – Pettersson Receives a Christmas Visit.
A Big Wish in a Little Cat's Heart
The little cat Findus longs for a visit from Santa Claus. But Santa only visits human children – and Findus is, after all, a cat. This childlike wish evolves into an imaginative story about friendship, hope, and the power of shared ideas.
Puppet Theater with Heart and Humor
The production is aimed at children aged three and up and combines the familiar world of children's literature with the immediate magic of puppet theater. Moving characters, loving stage designs, and the theater atmosphere make Findus' Christmas wish directly experienceable. Pettersson's mischievous calm meets Findus' overflowing energy – this creates a stage experience full of comedic moments and gentle Christmas spirit.
Drama Between Everyday Life and Fantasy
The focus is on the relationship between old Pettersson and his curious cat. When Pettersson injures his foot on the day before Christmas Eve, the preparations for the celebration fall out of sync. The production guides the young audience through a world where everyday objects become playmates and imagination shifts the boundaries of the possible with clear dramaturgy.
A Family Experience for the Pre-Christmas Season
The art of puppet theater thrives on closeness, rhythm, and visible transformation. Children eagerly follow every movement of the characters, while adults enjoy the poetic comedy and the loving décor. This leads to an audience reaction that swings between amazement, laughter, and eager anticipation from the first performance.
Conclusion: Pettersson and Findus gift the audience a heartfelt Christmas adventure about friendship, imagination, and the joy of being there for each other. Families will experience a lively production at the Capitol – Image & Stage that directly reaches children aged three and older. Those who want to experience the two cult figures together on stage should not miss this puppet theater experience.
