An evening that turns a grill into a social issue
With Extrawurst, a sharply pointed comedy will take the stage at the Stadttheater Amberg on April 20, 2027, transforming a seemingly harmless club debate into a witty chamber play about coexistence, prejudice, and group pressure. The work by Dietmar Jacobs and Moritz Netenjakob has been recognized for years as highly engaging and thrives on sharp dialogue, rapid escalation, and a theater atmosphere where every punchline hits. When club nitpicking turns into tragicomedy
At the center is a membership meeting that is supposed to vote on a new grill. Only a proposal for a separate grill for the sole Turkish member shifts the situation from everyday routine to a linguistically precise minefield. The play explores questions of tolerance, majority power, religious rules, and the silent poison of small exclusions – with the accuracy for which the authors are known. Direction with speed, conflict, and bright clarity
The Amberg production is designed as a boulevard comedy in the best sense: fast, highly relevant, and directly aimed at the audience. The evening at the Stadttheater Amberg begins at 7:30 PM and is intended for the boulevard subscription of the 2026/2027 season. The theater itself offers a special stage atmosphere with its historic space and limited accessible access; cloakroom and box office typically open one hour before the show starts. A theater experience with an echo
Extrawurst not only entices with situational comedy but also with the appeal of an evening that never lets laughter become comfortable. Those who appreciate precise acting, clear dramaturgy, and social friction will experience a stage experience with tempo and depth. The audience can expect an evening that entertains, provokes, and continues to resonate after the last punchline. ([moritz-netenjakob.de](https://moritz-netenjakob.de/buehnenstuecke/17/Extrawurst))
