Understanding Right-wing Lifestyle: Workshop with Basti Drumm in Sulzbach-Rosenberg
How can one recognize far-right ideologies when they are no longer visible at first glance? The workshop with Basti Drumm focuses on current symbols, codes, music, and clothing styles of the far-right scene. On Friday, October 23, 2026, the event at JUZ Hängematte offers a well-founded space for enlightenment, discussion, and democratic education.
When right-wing messages appear modern
Far-right scenes no longer exclusively rely on classic signs of recognition. Trendy clothing, rap music, and digital communication can also be part of a strategy to bring inhuman content to the societal mainstream. The workshop examines these developments and highlights what is important for classification.
Focus on symbols, codes, and music
The focus is on symbolism and codes that are particularly used in the far-right music scene. It involves the impact of language, visual signs, and cultural references. The role of anti-Semitism will also be addressed. The event experience combines political educational work with concrete examples and an open discussion atmosphere.
Experience from social work and anti-racist education
Basti Drumm is a social worker and an expert on the far-right scene. For many years he has organized the Kein Bock auf Nazis festival in Kusel and is involved as an initiator of anti-racist demonstrations and solidarity actions. His work combines pedagogical target group outreach, practical education, and civil society engagement against far-right extremism.
Workshop before the concert against anti-Semitism
The workshop marks the start of an evening that will continue with a concert against any form of anti-Semitism. The combination of information, exchange, and music creates a versatile format for young people, young adults, and all interested parties who wish to strengthen democratic attitudes.
Conclusion: Knowledge creates attitude
Visitors can expect an informative evening with clear classifications, expert background, and space for discussion. Those who want to understand far-right codes better and engage attentively with current manifestations of far-right extremism will experience an important event with societal relevance at JUZ Hängematte.
