Vituskirwa in Schnaittenbach: Authentic, Bavarian, fresh and full of festive spirit
The Schnoittenbecker Vituskirwa will once again bring the classic Kirwa feeling to the festival grounds Bachwiesen in Schnaittenbach in 2027. What begins as a lively village and club culture evolves into a true multi-day experience with music, festival tent atmosphere, traditions, and a strong sense of community over this weekend. The Schnoittenbecker Kirwa Association has taken over the organization and has given the festival the motto Authentic. Bavarian. Fresh. A festival with tradition, heart, and regional character
The Kirwa is deeply rooted in Schnaittenbach: The association aimed early on to excite the local population about the charm of the Vitus-Kirwa and to make the festival known beyond the county borders. This results in a unique blend of tradition, a gathering point for generations, and vibrant festival culture that has attracted visitors for years. Music, festival tent, and Bavarian fun
The weekend will feature Kirwa bands, rides, grilling classics, and Upper Palatinate delicacies. In previous years, the beer garden, bar, festival parade, festival service, and traditional tree dance were also among the defining moments. This blend of open-air atmosphere and tent operations makes the Vituskirwa pleasantly diverse. Several days, many highlights
Typical for the Schnaittenbacher Vituskirwa is the dense schedule with music, morning pints, family moments, and evening festive atmosphere. In previous program announcements, highlights ranged from prize sheep head games to citizen runs, to performances in the festival tent, and family day with discounted prices for rides. This structure demonstrates how consistently the festival is designed as a versatile folk festival.
