Jazz with history, shine, and grooving precision at the Stadttheater Amberg
When the Allotria Jazzband takes the stage at the Stadttheater Amberg on April 21, 2027, decades of tradition meet vibrant stage energy. The ensemble from Munich has long been one of the most prominent formations in the traditional jazz scene in German-speaking countries, bringing Swing, Dixieland, and the elegance of classic jazz aesthetics to Amberg.
An evening with character instead of routine
The band stands for a concert experience that does not rely on mere nostalgia but on musical class, presence, and finely balanced orchestration. Seven excellent soloists, a distinctive brass section with two trumpets, and original arrangements create a sound that resembles a small big band and fills the hall with energetic swing.
Classic jazz, lively and detailed
The focus is on compositions from the 1910s to the 1930s, interpreted with a warm tone, precise conducting, and the lightness that only true live experience brings. The Allotria Jazzband combines historical stylistics with a fresh stage performance that captures both jazz aficionados and curious concertgoers.
A band with international weight
Since its founding in 1969, the Allotria Jazzband has shaped countless concerts, over 2,000 public performances, numerous radio and television productions, and more than 30 concert tours to the USA and Canada. In addition, there are 21 released LPs and CDs and a Gold Record that impressively underscores the ensemble's status. This history is not only heard; it is felt in the room.
The Stadttheater Amberg as a stylish stage
With its compact auditorium and proximity to the action, the Stadttheater Amberg creates ideal conditions for an immediate concert experience. The acoustics support the finely tuned brass sections, while the audience's mood often jumps after just a few measures in such an intimate setting. The venue is only partially accessible, but clear service paths are available through the Tourist Information and the box office.
Conclusion: A must-attend event for jazz lovers in Amberg
The Allotria Jazzband promises an evening full of swinging energy, historical depth, and musical elegance in Amberg.
