When dialect becomes a school of laughter: Vogelmayer brings Bavarian to Amberg
On Sunday, January 31, 2027, the Schloderer Bräu in Amberg will not only have discussions but will also interpret points, listen, and laugh heartily. Cabaret artist, dialect artist, and author Thomas Mayer, better known as Vogelmayer, invites you to a humorous Bavarian course that presents language, culture, and Bavarian mentality on a very entertaining stage. According to his own website, the artist has been on tour for over two decades and combines musical cabaret with heart, brain, and humor. ([vogelmayer.de](https://vogelmayer.de/))
Dialect that pops instead of lectures
This is not about dry grammar but about a laughing experience with linguistic wit. Vogelmayer is considered a stage professional with many performances throughout the year and is described in press reviews as a sympathetic chameleon, profound, and Bavarian crazy. This mixture is exactly what makes the appeal: cabaret, interaction, and a timing that turns even a simple Bavarian expression into a small punchline. ([vogelmayer.de](https://vogelmayer.de/))
Inn atmosphere with a learning factor
The Schloderer Bräu is located at Rathausstraße 4 right in the middle of the Amberg old town and offers a perfect setting for an event with a sense of hometown, sociability, and after-work charm. The place is made for an inn atmosphere, with 300 indoor and 140 outdoor seats and a location in the heart of the city. The central location is convenient for travel, and parking options are provided by the city of Amberg on their parking pages.
